Welcome to my house in the heart of Trausse-Minervois,  in the Languedoc region of South West France.

This comfortable,  fully renovated, two bedroomed house sits in a narrow street in the midst of this unspoilt, traditional French village.

Trausse Minervois is easily accessible from several UK airports

Carcassonne and Bezier airports are only about half an hour by car...and both airports have hire car availability...

Trausse has everything......a quiet unspoilt  traditional village with friendly people, a traditional French way of life, surrounded by acres of vineyards producing the famous Minervois wine, the breathtaking Montagne Noir mountains behind the village, with wonderful drives and walks.

The village has a Post Office, small grocery shop ( with wifi), 2 restaurants, a hairdresser, and a tennis court.  It has typical french "hello-hello" system, and produce vans of all types visit the square on a daily basis, including a mobile bakery.
The village hosts a cherry festival each year, for which it is famous within this region.

A larger supermarket and garage can be found in the neighbouring town of Rieu Minervois

  Visit the ancient village of Minerve, which clings to the side of the Gorge de Cesse....
The medieval cite of Carcassonne, just half and hour away...take a boat trip on the famous Canal du Midi, just 15 minutes drive from the house......Into history?...all the ancient Cathar sites and castles are within easy driving distance...
Fancy a day at the sea?  Head for Narbonne and the Med  - in 40 minutes you will be sitting on the beach....

Enjoy the wonderful restaurants that abound in this area.....swim in a nearby freshwater lake, complete with a lifeguard and a lakeside restaurant.

The climate is wonderful!    Short mild winters which can be a bit windy, and early Spring with all the trees  in blossom. Hot dry Summers with endless sunshine...
