Set in the heart of the charming and picturesque old village of Trausse Minervois , the village nestles amongst the vineyards of the Minervois region, with the foothills of the Montagne Noire behind. The village has 450 inhabitants, and four wine caves, where local tastings are offered.

Located in the middle of the Languedoc region,in the department of Aude, this house is ideally placed to explore all that the area has to offer! 

35 minutes from the medieval Cite of Carcassone and the airport,  15 mins to the Canal du Midi, and a freshwater swimming lake,  40 mins to the beaches at Narbonne plage. All the Cathar sites are within an half an hour drive.  Drive into the Montagne Noir foothills, and enjoy quiet roads and  unspoilt forests.

We can arrange cycle hire with delivery and collection at the house, walking tours with a professional guide, watercolour painting instruction at all levels, by a professional English artist, on the banks of the  Canal du Midi and a day out,  landscaping painting , complete with lunch!
